Many absolutes are challenging to work with in their pure form. Green Tea absolute is a very thick grainy solid mass which requires a lot of time to heat and liquifying so once and work with it so it is one of the absolutes we have chosen to offer in a diluted form.

Green Tea absolute (Camelia sinensis) in 50% dilution of perfumer's alcohol (ethanol) is a slightly viscous dark green liquid with a delicate, slightly sweet, leathery, herbaceous bouquet with a balsamic woody undertone.

In natural perfumery can be used "to produce sweet-herbaceous notes in certain floral perfumes e.g. jasmin, orange blossom, gardenia, sweet pea, freesia, and to produce new effects in wood or aldehydic perfumes or non-floral type in general. As in intensifier of clary sage, melaleuca bracteata, michelia leaf oil, or other tea-like fragrances, it is unsurpassed naturalness." Steffen Artander.

In natural perfumery in can be used in floral perfumes, herbal bouquets, sacred essences, green accords, amber bases, new mown hay, Russian leather, fougere and chypre.
