Patchoul essential oil displays a range of olfactory properties depending on method of distillaton, age of oil, location of harvest, technique of fermentation of the leaves etc.
The 2 year aged patchouli is an amber colored liquid displaying a rich, earthy, herbaceous aroma with a woody, rooty, slightly animalic undertone. Tenacity is very good. Its overall character is heavier, more earthy-herbaceous than the other patchouli's we offer.
In natural perfumery it has wide application including Oriental bouquets, ayurvedic preparations, culinary perfumes, precious woods notes, fougere, chypre, resinous accords.
