Balsam copaiba essential oil (Copaifera officinalis, C.langsdorfii) is a colorless liquid displaying a mild, balsamic, sweet, woody bouquet.

In natural perfumer can be usedin a wide variety of perfume creations as a gentle modifier and blender to compositions allowing soft transitions from one phase to the next(topnote, middle note, basenote) during the olfactory life of perfume.
